The red patch that my dad has does say 1942 for the 320th? I know about the skull and crossbones being created but the other patches on his wall do not include an azure patch...He has a circular blue patch with a white star red dot in the middle and golden wings: a circular blue patch with the number 5, a shooting star and 5 stars surrounding it, and a triangle patch of blue with a golden gadget looking thing (g)

The original 'Official' patch for the 90th BG was approved 9/22/1942 and was the Azure colored shield with a pterdactyle and the motto IMPAVIDE-Undauntedly. But then it was changed with The Jolly... more
