Chella King. I was in the 400th SQ. on the 15 May 1945 when the plane your grandfather was on ,the morning of 15 may 1945 Blew up on take off, There was only one surviver. and that was the tail gunner. Sgt Don Ruff. contact me for more information . I attended the memorial service the crew and have a copy of the service also I have been in touch with Don Ruff the only serviver. Ken Laughrun

My grandfather, First Lieutenant John (Jack) Hugh Davis, Jr., served in the 400th Bomb Squad as a navigator and was shot down on May 15, 1945 (according to the Missing in Action tablet). My... more
