I spent hours researching and found records on family search . org... also, I searched newspapers . com and found absolutely nothing which I found really odd... I have a screenshot (which you've probably already seen) of the actual headstone application, and 1940 census, but what I find really strange is another grave memorial with a different birth year (which is not that unusual) and a death date of 1999! Just thought it was odd... same name, Easthampton, MA.. I didn't see this one the other day. (see below) He was also army air force. I wish I could have found something more for you. I was helped a bit in the search for more information re: my uncle through this site... So, I try to help as much as I can. Here's the grave memorial.
