 Mission Belle, whose slinky-bodied pin-up was a magnet for airstrip tourists, didn't roll up much combat time during her stay with the Jolly Rogers, but she made that time count. She was in on the first daylight raids over Wewak and Rabaul, scoring seven enemy kills. Sadly, she was lost over Rabaul on October 18, 1943. Click HERE for photo. |
