Thanks Bob. These are great! I have most of those, but certainly not in color. That's fantastic.
I wonder if I have the wrong artist attributed to Buck Benny. Hoffman's Booby Trap, Little Chief and Road to Tokyo all are signed "521" and Buck Benny doesn't appear to have that. It sure looks to be the same style though so I would be shocked if he DIDN'T paint that one.
Would the 4 wartime squadron books be worth purchasing? Would there be any tidbits on nose art in those, aside from the drawings that you've shared? They seem to be pretty expensive if you can find them.
Looking through more photos, I think these two may be the same artist, but not sure who yet.

Not sure what the significance of "521" is. I thought perhaps his number, but that is not it.

Do you recognize this one? There's no number on the tail.

I found this close up of the above aircraft dropping the bombs in my scans, but unfortunately there is no name.

Does anyone know if Betty Cleland was ever depicted in any of the nose art?

Another mystery... who is this gentleman? I would have thought it was Homer King, but his son Michael said it is not. The style does not match Hoffman, Cooper or Eipper.
