I just checked a post war general order and your dad's crew was credited with shooting down 6 enemy planes. In the Fifth Air Force during the war there were only roughly 20 crews that were credited with more. Your dad was in the thick of things which explains why he was reluctant to talk about it. Would you email me the particulars regarding his passing so that I can put it in the association newletter.
