Frank A. Hudspeth was a Staff Sergeant and his serial number was 34257651. The 319th as a squadron was credited with detroying more ememy planes than any other bomb squadron in the Fifth Air Force, 122. When a plane was shot down by a bomber, every member of the crew received credit, regardless of their position. Frank Hudspeth was number one on the individual list for the Fifth Air Force with 17 crew credits. Seventeen times the plane he was aboard was attacked and was credited with shooting down an enemy plane. Email me directly and I will send you a copy of the post war general order which I found at the National Archives.
