When an enemy aircraft was destroyed by a bomber crew in the Fifth Air Force everyone from the pilot to the tail gunner got credit. I found a copy of Headquarters Fifth Air Force General Order No 166 dated 19 October 1945 in a folder for the 43rd BG on one of my visits there. It lists everyone that they had records for. Joe Minnich is not credited with a kill. The only one that went down with Golden that I could find a credit for was Ingerman who received on while assigned to the 90th Squadron.
