Hi! I noticed that you had my ship Scorpion as crashed in Sept. '43. I flew my last mission in her 18 Oct '43, then
a new crew under Lt Manion crashed it on the beach near Buna
after I was already in Brisbane getting Star Duster ready to
fly stateside in company with Mitsu Butcher and Eager Beaver. Also, give credit for the painting of Scorpin with
me and my bombardier and copilot standing by its nose to my
artist grandson Gregory Barrett Hevener. In the painting,
I'm the one in the middle, my bombardier Barney Trainor is to my right, and John Heath, my copilot is to my left. The
painting is 3'x 4' and resides in my study!
