I have been researching my uncle CPL THOMAS F. WARD , he was with the 90th/400th. I received the following from U.S.Army Resources Command this morning.
"I have finally completed your request concerning your late uncle. The only award that I can verify, that you have not already received, is the Philippine Republic Presidential Unit Citation. This is a foreign award that the Department of the Army does not issue but may be purchased from private vendors in military memorabilia. My research found that your uncle was on board a B-24L aircraft with 4 crew members and 20 passengers. Your uncle was one of the 20 passengers. The aircraft was on a routine courier mission from McGuire Strip, Mindoro Island to Florida Blanca, Pampanga, Luzon, Philippine Islands. No radio communications was ever received from the plane after take-off."
Does anyone have any ideas of where to find out MOS of personnel with the 90th and also what unit awards the 90th received from 1943 to 1945. THANKS for any help.
