in response to articles on page 2....and also in request to anyone who might know anything further about the yankee doodle dandy......what i have learned is that she was shot down april 12 1944 over hollandia new guinea...my granmas brother joseph minnich was a waistgunner on the golden crew..... just yesterday i found a posting from a man who was lloking for the co pilot, john jennings.....said jennings stayed in his grandfathers house for 2 days and 2 nites before the japanese caught him.....i sent him an email with what info i had about the fate of that ship and its crew.....very very interesting because according to governments final report jennings is assumed to have died in the crash...if anyone know any more please feel free to email me
