Message:
I am looking for anybody that may have known my father. His name was Harold Halverson. He may have been known as "Hal" by service friends. He was trained in San Diego. His home town was Grantsburg, Wisconsin. He was stationed in New Guinea during the last part of the war in the pacific. He died of cancer in 1974, but had remarried shortly before he died. His new wife discarded/sold all of his personal belongings including his uniform and all of his pictures from his time in New Guinea. I recall looking at them when I was very young. Trying to find anybody that knew him, to tell me the name of his B24 and any other information I can get.
Thanks in advance for any replies. contact me at scott.halverson@mail.massp.org
