My dad said he was pictured in the book on page # 36 and was of the "Sacktime Specials", as the top left page there, as the...The Horizontal Bicycle spread...and it was the first time I got him to admit,.."I was young and hadda try it".......Growing a Pencil style Mustash......
I still think of my Dad as an original "American Hero", for serving our country in WWII. Dad enlisted before "Peral Harbor" was bombed, and I enlisted in the USAF before, "Called In the Draft" and seved my four years much as my dad did. Only dad was discharged for medical reasons in 1943, returning home a SSGT. and a $10.00 a month pension for all these years.

My dad was of the 5th AF, 90th BG, 320th SQ. I found out the original book sold for $400 and my dad couldn't afford it, and wanted one bad. I found a copy of one, in the Smithonian, in DC, for $50.00 ...
