My dad said he was pictured in the book on page # 36 and was of the "Sacktime Specials", as the top left page there, as the...The Horizontal Bicycle spread...and it was the first time I got him to admit,.."I was young and hadda try it".......Growing a Pencil style Mustash......

I still think of my Dad as an original "American Hero", for serving our country in WWII. Dad enlisted before "Peral Harbor" was bombed, and I enlisted in the USAF before, "Called In the Draft" and seved my four years much as my dad did. Only dad was discharged for medical reasons in 1943, returning home a SSGT. and a $10.00 a month pension for all these years.

    My dad was of the 5th AF, 90th BG, 320th SQ. I found out the original book sold for $400 and my dad couldn't afford it, and wanted one bad. I found a copy of one, in the Smithonian, in DC, for $50.00 ... more

            HI, There are hundreds of young men photographed in this book, but only the captains are Id'd. I'd have no way to know whose who. Sorry.

            Hi Larry, Unfortunately unless your father was a squadron commander or a capt. or other officer non of the men are listed by name - but there sure are a lot of faces in this book. Sorry, Tom

              S/Sgt. Thomas Sippel went to the Iron Range in Capt Enloe's crew. No plane name or number was listed. Then he was a Radio Gunner on Maj. Falkners crew. No plane name is know however we have a picture ... more
