Message:
I am looking for information on my uncle Melvin KLOPSCH, who was an aerial engineer in the 90th BG. I have an article from the Chicago Tribune that he (and others)were awarded the distinguished flying cross from General Kenney for the Balikpapan, Borneo attack on Sept 30, Oct 10, and Oct 14, 1944. Also listed with him were 2d Lt. Max S. MANN, B24 co-pilot, Tech Sgt Howard W. SCHAEFER, radio operator, and 2nd Lt. Theodore J. THEODORE, bombadier. They were all from Chicago and were all awarded the flying cross.

I would love to know what squadron Melvin KLOPSCH belonged to, or any suggestions how to find out more information on him. Thank you so much.

Sincerely,
Katherine
