I am the nephew of S/Sgt Thomas C. Sippel aka "Sipp" of the 321st BS. He flew with Maj Cecil Faulkner who became the 321st CO. Faulkner was later transfered out. Tom's crew was sent home due to flight hours and tom remained becuse of malaria. he inished out flying with several crews. his cousin and mine 2Lt. William F. Sippel aka "Will" of the 400th was the co-pilot in a plane piloted by an intel officer Capt. Larson. That plane crashed on on of it's first missions, on take off at the Iron Range air field. Nov 16, 1942. Any information on these fellows please contact me. our phots are few in number. I have Sipp's diary and a couple of letters.
